Trace Taylor Trace@TheTraceTaylor.com 813-486-5437 March 2004, with a 9th-grade education, I became the Founding Director of a multimillion dollar emergent reader press. By 2007, I achieved national recognition as an author of exceptional emergent reader literature, with 200 plus titles specializing in Earth and Life Sciences and used in classrooms across the country. I founded my educational nonprofit, Community Leveraged Learning (CLL), in 2011 with the mission of teaching critical analysis of language via UDL-fashioned thematic study within a framework of fundamental applied writing instruction. I produce instruction methodology workshops for teachers, thematic and language arts curricula, and in-class thematic study writing workshops for K-12. 2016 saw me graduate Eckerd college with a High Honors BA in Creative Writing and Anthropology and the Excellence in Writing nomination, after which I entered and near completion of an interdisciplinary MLA program at USFSP, encompassing sociolinguistics, global literacy, Creative Writing, and Mass Communication. In 2017, I authored a writer's guide used in classrooms by students and teachers. I present, demonstrate, and speak publicly on a regular basis for my educational nonprofit and the occasional panel or event. My typical audiences range from K-college to educators. To this end, we have written and published peer-reviewed course materials, contracted and trained professional writers, educators, instructors, and developmental editors; created a professional nonprofit press, and incorporated municipalities, universities, school district staff developers, principals, teachers, other nonprofits, and local busineses. Our professional development workshops for teachers, in-class workshops for students, and neighborhood programs range from a few hours to two months. Our tutoring programs for youth and adults range from a few hours to one year. At the heart of CLL is our professional nonprofit press through which we publish our peer-reviewed materials, noteworthy individual participant works, and classroom and PD anthologies, all of which can be used for thematic and language arts studies and serve the CLL mission of leveraging academic success, increasing access, and empowering community voices. We developed a budget; created templates at every level; determined priority themes and markets; located, recruited, and taught young writers and illustrators with which to build our new publishing team; found environmentally friendly vendors, and negotiated mutually beneficial relationships.
